What 𰬂 means
Its forms grew from an old silk name. Older Chinese texts use 阿 for fine silk associated with Dong'e in Shandong; a later written form added the silk component 糸 to make 䋪.
The Kangxi Dictionary (1716) says 䋪 could be shortened to 䋍. A Yuan-printed copy of Yùpiān, a Chinese character dictionary first compiled in the sixth century, glosses 䋪 as fine silk. Zìhuì (1615), another character dictionary, also gives a white-silk reading.
Unicode records 𰬂 as a simplified variant of 䋍.
