Old form of 津

𰰓 is recorded as an old form of 津, the Chinese character for a ferry crossing or ford. In the classical book The Analects, Zilu, a follower of Confucius, asks where to cross; the Han-era dictionary Shuowen defines 津 as a water crossing and records an older form combining a boat with the Huai River. Later, 津 also meant strategic routes, bodily fluids, and moistening. For modern Chinese, 津 is the usual written form.
