What 𰱎 means
Its source shape was treated as a variant of 𤼲. Taiwan's Ministry of Education lists 𤼲 as a variant of 發 and cites the Lu Jun Stele, a stone inscription, and Dunhuang manuscripts. Unicode reviewers linked 𰱎 to that written form.
For 𰱎, the Unicode source trail leads to Guang bei bie zi (廣碑別字), a 1995 book of variant forms from Chinese stone inscriptions. Its review calls this glyph a rare error form, so keep it when faithfully transcribing a source, not as a general substitute for 發.
Historical-text use: retain it to reproduce a source's unusual form.
Do not read it as a separate everyday word from 發.
