What 𰳺 means
𰳺 is a written variant of 襛, read nóng in Mandarin. The word describes thick clothing and, by extension, luxuriant abundance.
Shuowen Jiezi, an Eastern Han character dictionary, glosses 襛 as “the look of thick clothing” and cites the line “何彼襛矣,唐棣之華” from the Book of Odes, an early Chinese poetry collection. The poem pairs the word with Tangdi blossoms to evoke luxuriance. The character’s clothing component carries the sense; 農 supplies its sound, not a meaning of farming.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𰳺 show as a box on some devices?
It is recent: Unicode added it in version 13.0 (2020), and phones and computers whose fonts are older than that have nothing to draw it with. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
