𰷥

cjk unified ideograph-30de5

Cóng (賨 variant)

𰷥 is a written variant of 賨 (Mandarin cóng), the name of a historical levy in southwest China. Yang Xiong’s Western Han rhapsody (a long descriptive poem) about Shu (ancient Sichuan) includes 巴賨; scholars read it either as Ba and Cong communities or as a regional name. The Han-era dictionary Shuowen Jiezi defines 賨 as a southern levy; later histories also use it for the Ba people.
