𰽸

cjk unified ideograph-30f78

Chinese character 𰽸

𰽸 is the simplified form of 䤨, an old Chinese character meaning “cut” or “split”; its left metal component changes from 釒 to 钅. Han-era Fangyan, a regional wordbook, records 䤨 for making tools from cut wood in Liang–Yi and chopping in Jin–Zhao, ancient Chinese regions. A later gloss on the Book of Han uses 䤨 figuratively for “breaking down” confusion.
