What 𰾾 means
𰾾 is an analogically simplified form of 钀, an old bridle-fitting term.
The Shuowen Jiezi, a Chinese character dictionary compiled around 100 CE, records 钀 as a form of 轙. It describes 轙 as a fitting on a carriage crossbar that carries the reins; another old gloss describes 钀 as iron connected to a horse’s bridle.
Why does 𰾾 look different in some fonts?
Its display depends on the font.
As of 2026, reference Han shapes are not binding designs: fonts may draw 𰾾 with different strokes. That changes how it looks, not which character it is.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𰾾 show as a box on some devices?
It is recent: Unicode added it in version 13.0 (2020), and phones and computers whose fonts are older than that have nothing to draw it with. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
