What 𰿫 means
It describes opening a door. The Shuowen Jiezi, an early Chinese dictionary, glosses 䦱 as “open a door” and cites the Guoyu, an ancient collection of state histories: 䦱門與之言, speaking through the doorway without crossing the sill. Its 門 component means “door”; 爲 supplies the sound. Later dictionaries also give an angled-door reading.
