What does 𱃍 mean?
It is a written form of 飂, a word for high wind.
An early Chinese collection of writings, the Lüshi Chunqiu (呂氏春秋), compiled around 239 BCE, calls the west wind 飂風. The Chinese character dictionary Shuowen Jiezi (說文解字) glosses 飂 as “high wind.” In 997, the character dictionary Longkan Shoujian (龍龕手鑑), made to help Buddhist monks read scriptures, records 𱃍 as the same character as 飂. The compound 飂戾 also describes wind noise or rapid movement.
