What 𱑂 means

In Fan Yin’s 《越谚》 (Yue Yan), a collection of Shaoxing sayings and dialect words. Its preface is dated 1878 and says the book aimed to put familiar local speech into writing while retaining its colloquial forms. Why does 𱑂 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
