What 𱓂 means
It writes the Zhuang word for “foot.” The 1989 Ancient Zhuang Character Dictionary records it on page 125; its Zhuang reading is transcribed din [tin¹].
Sawndip reuses Chinese character forms and parts to write Zhuang words by sound, meaning, or both. Local Zhuang writing is documented from China’s Tang and Song dynasties (7th–13th centuries), including in folk songs, ritual texts, contracts, letters, and family records.
Traditional forms varied by region. A standardized Latin-letter Zhuang orthography was introduced in 1955 and revised in the 1980s. Unicode encoded 𱓂 in 2022, long after this writing tradition began.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𱓂 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
