What 𱯊 means
It is a form of 琥, read hǔ in Mandarin. Taiwan’s Ministry of Education defines 琥 as a jade token for mobilizing troops or a tiger-shaped jade used in rites to the west.
Shuowen Jiezi, an old Chinese character dictionary, records the military-token sense; Rites of Zhou, a ritual handbook, describes the white-jade rite. The standard form also appears in 琥珀 (“amber”). A tiger-shaped jade excavated from an ancient tomb makes the ritual use concrete.
