What 𲃪 means
It records the Vietnamese verb for pursuit. Read it as đuổi: “to chase or drive away.” Chữ Nôm is the historical Vietnamese writing system, adapting Chinese characters and their parts to write Vietnamese. One scholarly periodization places its earliest stage, proto-Nôm, in the 8th–9th centuries; this dates the script’s early development, not 𲃪 itself.
A Vietnamese verse explanation of the Chinese classic Book of Changes from 1815 uses it in a line translated as “chasing a deer.” The glyph also appears in the 1866 edition of Nguyễn Du’s Truyện Kiều, a Vietnamese verse novel, in a phrase about pursuit.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𲃪 show as a box on some devices?
It is recent: Unicode added it in version 15.0 (2022), and phones and computers whose fonts are older than that have nothing to draw it with. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
