What 㟂 means
It identifies a locality. The earliest dated record, 北游录 (1653–1656), is a travel account describing a Shandong island with reefs, shelter, and a Dragon King temple.
A 1756 Huangxian county gazetteer (local record) mentions a sandy approach and pasture. Later spellings include 屺㟂岛 (2026), 母屺岛 and 屺母岛 (2018).
Fonts may draw 㟂 differently; its outline alone does not mean another character.
Geographic and historical, not expressive.
Sent alone, 㟂 points to a place; ask which one.

1Why does 㟂 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
