What 㨁 means
The recorded senses are “throw,” “hold,” and “prop with a staff.”
The 2024 Ministry dictionary says Shuowen Jiezi, an early Chinese dictionary, omits 㨁; it records distinct throwing and staff-support readings from Guangyun, a sound-indexed dictionary.
The Kangxi Dictionary quotes Jiyun, another sound-indexed dictionary, for “hold.” A glyph-history table cites forms from two manuscript passages in the Laozi, a Chinese classic, and Han-period seals.
Why can 㨁 look different?
Regional fonts can give the same encoded character different glyphs.
Chinese, Japanese, and Korean fonts may follow different regional conventions. If 㨁 is missing or its strokes differ, font support or locale settings may explain it; the character itself remains the same.

Questions people ask
1Why does 㨁 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
