What 㹚 means
It means a cattle call, a cow’s cry, or a calf.
㹚 is a variant form of 㹙. The Yupian, a Chinese character dictionary compiled in 535–546, records 㹙 for a sound used to call cattle. The later Kangxi Dictionary gives 㹚 the meanings “calf” and “cow’s cry”; it cites the Pianhai for calling a calf and says the Jiyun uses 㹙. The Wu variety spoken around Ningbo also records 㹙 for “calf.”
Both forms use 牜, the cattle radical on the left; 㹚 has 營 on the right. Without that context, a message containing it may read as an obscure Han character.
Rare and lexical; outside a cattle context, it reads as a specialized Han character.
As a stand-alone moo, it can look like an unexplained character.
