The Chinese dictionary 《四声篇海》 records 㿍 in the Jin–Yuan period. The earlier Chinese dictionary 《说文解字》 records 疥; earlier citations also equate 蚧 with 疥.

Not every system ships a font for the CJK Unified Ideographs Extension A block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
