What 䀊 means
It names a vessel, and has a separate verb sense.
Shuowen, an Eastern Han Chinese dictionary, gives the broad gloss “vessel.” Guangyun, a later rhyme dictionary (one that groups words by sound), specifies a warming vessel. Other dictionary entries record a verb sense: stirring a liquid until it turns muddy or cloudy.
A character-history chart links the entry to the Chu manuscript tradition and to the small-seal script in Shuowen. The dictionaries also record 𥂔 as a shortened form and 𥃃 as another variant written with 犬 (“dog”) as a component.
Best suited to historical dictionaries and exact transcriptions of older texts.
