What 䇈 means
It is glossed as “put away” or “store.”
The Kangxi Dictionary cites the Song-era Chinese dictionary 《集韻》, completed in 1039. It gives a traditional sound cue by comparing the reading with 畫, pronounced huà in modern Mandarin (Pinyin spelling; roughly “hwa” with a falling pitch), and explains 䇈 through 庋也, linking it with shelving and storage.
That is a dictionary trail, not proof of when the character was first written. A computer-encoding date marks digital standardization, not the origin of an older written form.
How can I type 䇈?
Use Unicode hexadecimal entry or a Chinese input method.
Enter 41C8 in a text editor that accepts hexadecimal Unicode input. Cangjie and Wubi are Chinese keyboard input methods: use YTEG in Cangjie or UCFG in Wubi. Each route enters the same character.
If 䇈 appears as a box, the font may not contain its glyph. Choose a font that supports this character; the missing-glyph box does not change the text stored.

Questions people ask
1Why does 䇈 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the CJK Unified Ideographs Extension A block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
