What 䘵 means
The dictionary glosses disagree: a clothing sound or dirty clothes. 《集韻》, a Chinese rhyme dictionary that groups characters by sound, records the Chinese reading lù (roughly “loo,” with a falling tone) in 1037. The Chinese character dictionary 《類篇》 gives a clothing-sound gloss; it was completed in 1066 and presented in 1067. Taiwan's Ministry of Education dictionary cites the Chinese dictionary 《四聲篇海》 for “dirty clothes” and notes that 《說文》 omits 䘵.
