What 䚪 means
䚪 describes a curved horn.
The 玉篇, an early Chinese dictionary completed in 543, is the earliest named dictionary record cited for 䚪. The later Kangxi dictionary quotes 角貌 (“horn appearance”), and 正字通 expands it to 角彎貌 (“curved-horn appearance”).
Other dictionaries link 䚪 with 鰥 and 鱞. The Chinese dictionary 說文解字 glosses 鰥 as a fish; its commentary explains the graph’s use in 鰥寡 (“widowers and widows”) as a borrowing. That trail does not make “widower” the meaning of 䚪.
How do I type 䚪?
Use its Unicode value in a picker or code.
For Unicode input in ordinary text, search U46AA in a character picker; a Chinese input method may not list it under the pinyin entry guān. In code, use HTML 䚪, JavaScript \u{46AA}, or Python \U000046AA.
Why does 䚪 show as a box?
The font may not contain this character.
Unicode’s Extension A chart for Han characters shows a reference form, not a rule every font must follow. Fonts may draw 䚪 differently or show a box or blank when they lack it.
Specialized and dictionary-like; its curved-horn gloss alone does not tell you why someone sent it.
Do not read the 鰥 link as “widower”: 䚪’s own gloss describes a curved horn.

No. A box usually means the current font lacks a glyph for it; check with a font that supports the character before concluding the text changed.
