What 䝼 means
A sentence can make 䝼 mean grant or receive. It describes which way a benefit moves: being given or accepted. In Mandarin Pinyin input, try jìng for “bestow” and qíng for “receive.”
An early dictionary record appears in the Liang-dynasty 玉篇, around 543, with the giving sense. That dates a dictionary gloss, not the character’s creation.
What does 䝼 mean in Jinan dialect?
In Jinan dialect, it means enjoying something already provided. A 2017 reference table of Chinese dialect characters records 䝼著 for “享現成的”—taking the benefit of work already done. Its example, 你就䝼著罷, is framed as a rebuke, so this regional use can tell someone to stop waiting for others to do the work. It is not the default meaning in every context.
A specialized character, recorded in an old dictionary sense and a Jinan dialect expression.
Do not replace it with 情 or 请: shared components and sound links do not make their meanings interchangeable.
