䣿 is a classical Chinese word for measured drinking at a private family feast. On its own, its old sense cannot tell you what a sender intends.

What 䣿 means

A classical term for measured drinking at a private family feast. The rule was to drink if able and stop if not. The earliest located dictionary witness is the Yupian, compiled around 543. Taiwan's Ministry of Education dictionary marks it absent from the earlier Shuowen character dictionary; its commentary says Yupian and Guangyun use 䣿. Later glosses say “banquet” or “drink moderately.”

What if someone sends 䣿?
