What 弪 means
It means “radian,” the angle unit defined by arc length and radius.
It is the one-character Chinese translation of radian, built from parts of 弧 and 径. A 2022 physics note mentions a Tang-text 弳 citation, says major historical dictionaries do not securely support it, and reports 弧度 as the more common modern term; the scientific sense is best treated as a later development.
Simplified writing uses 弪; traditional uses 弳. A 2023 Taiwan curriculum guide teaches 弳 as the one-character unit name. That makes 弪 specialist math vocabulary, not a separate unit.
Technical and uncommon; it sounds like math or physics prose.
Do not treat 弪 and 弧度 as different units; they name the same radian measure.

Questions people ask
1Why does 弪 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
