What 槏 means
For Mandarin Pinyin, enter qian and inspect the candidates.
To find the door or window-post entry, type qian without a tone mark; Pinyin writes Mandarin sounds with Latin letters. A Japanese kanji reference lists カン for the window-post entry and レン for the 廉 entry; those kana readings can narrow a Japanese input lookup.
What does 槏 mean?
It can mean a door, a post beside a window, or a basin.
An early Chinese dictionary from the Eastern Han dynasty, 《說文解字》, defines 槏 as a door. It analyzes the form as 木 (“wood”) plus 兼, with 兼 supplying the sound.
In the Song dynasty building manual 《營造法式》 (1103), 槏柱 names an extra timber post added to a wide partition bay—the span between two columns. A later Kangxi dictionary also records a basin sense.
This is historical reference vocabulary; surrounding text or a compound tells you which dictionary entry applies.
Keep the 廉 entry separate from the door and window-post senses.
