What 熲 means
A gleam or brightness in classical Chinese.
The early Chinese character dictionary 《說文》 analyzes 熲 as 火 (“fire,” its meaning element) plus 頃 (its sound element). The Book of Songs (《詩經》) uses it for light; later dictionaries also gloss it as brightness.
The Book of Rites (《禮記》) uses it in a phrase the scholar Zheng Xuan explains as 警枕: a round wooden pillow meant to wake its user.
Classical-literary; without its sentence, 熲 can be hard to interpret.
If you need readers to catch “brightness” at a glance, use a familiar word; 熲 sounds literary.

Questions people ask
1Why does 熲 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
