What 眱 means
It means a silent stare or a sideways, doubtful look. Its written form pairs 目, the eye component, with 夷 as a sound component. Taiwan's 2024 dictionary of Chinese character variants says the early Chinese dictionary Shuowen Jiezi does not record 眱 and lists 𥄿, 眤 and 𥅣 as variant forms.
