What 禢 means
In a Chinese name, 禢 is a rare family name.
Ming and later records use it in personal names and local gazetteers, books about a region’s people and places. In a Chinese name, 禢 is the family name when it comes before the given name.
Taiwan’s Ministry of Education dictionary gives 褟 the clothing senses: a close-fitting undershirt and sewn edging. Its 2024 entry says 褟 is absent from Shuowen, an early Chinese dictionary, and cites 玉篇, an older dictionary, for “衣也” (“clothing”). Some web dictionaries file these senses under 禢.

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
