What 箙 means
It means a quiver, not an arrow.
A 2022 study places 箙 beside related quiver forms such as 函 in Shang-period oracle-bone and bronze evidence; the object existed to store arrows.
Chinese sources give fú; in Japan, えびら became the warrior's quiver, while 胡籙 / やなぐい served courtly or ritual use. Later 箙 also named a 24-verse linked-verse form and the Noh story 箙の梅.
Specialized and old-literary; it names archery equipment, not a casual arrow symbol.
If you mean the projectile, 箙 is wrong: it names the case, not the arrow.
