What 粈 means
It means “mixed rice.”
《說文解字》, an early Chinese dictionary, uses that gloss: 米 on the left points to rice, while 丑 on the right supplies the sound.
Later Chinese dictionaries and a Buddhist glossary link 粈 to 糅, also used for mixing things of different colours. Mainland China’s 2013 standard character list excludes 粈.
Rare and literary; it reads as a historical or variant form.
For the modern Chinese verb “mix,” choose 糅.
