What 糽 means
A taut silk cord, or the act of pulling it.
Yupian (玉篇), an early Chinese character dictionary compiled around 543, glosses 糽 as “to draw.” Jiyun (集韻), a sound-and-rhyme dictionary completed in 1039, describes a taut, straight silk cord. They record separate senses.
Two specialized glosses make a standalone use ambiguous.
If someone sends 糽 alone, ask which sense they mean.

Questions people ask
1Why does 糽 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
