What 耥 means
It names a rice-field board and the job done with it. The toothed board is pushed between rice rows to bury weeds in mud and loosen soil. 耥耙 is the tool; 耥稻 is its use.
In the Yuan period, the predecessor was called 耘荡: a wooden-shoe-shaped board studded with nails for wet-rice weeding. Later agricultural histories say the implement came to be called 耥.
Specialized fieldwork vocabulary; a bare 耥 in chat needs context.
