《說文解字》, an early Chinese character dictionary, records 胑 for the body's four limbs and 肢 as a variant with 支 replacing 只. 肉 marks the body; 支 supplies sound.

Chinese uses 四肢, 肢体, 上肢 and 下肢; 手脚 is more casual. In Japanese, 選択肢 means an answer choice.
