What 訧 means
訧 means fault or blame; its classical history connects it to 尤.
An early attestation is the bronze-inscription name 鼄訧, from the early Spring and Autumn period. The old Chinese character dictionary Shuowen Jiezi glosses 訧 as “crime,” quoting 報以庶訧. The poetry collection Book of Odes has 俾無訧兮 (“so there is no fault”); a received version of the Book of Documents writes the related word with 尤.
Mandarin Chinese reads 訧 yóu, one syllable with rising pitch. Japanese dictionaries list the native reading とが (to-ga) and the Sino-Japanese readings う (u) and ゆう (yū).
Classical and dictionary-like; it is not a routine chat reaction.

1Why does 訧 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
