What 躒 means
It means movement; only 卓躒 means outstanding. With the foot radical, 躒 records stepping or leaping, while 卓躒 praises someone as surpassing the rest.
An early trace is 輔䟏 in the Spring and Autumn text tradition. Shuowen records 䟏 as “to move,” with later notes giving 躒 as the written form. So read lone 躒 as motion, and the pairs 卓躒 and 逴躒 as literary praise.
Literary and rare; do not use it alone to praise someone.
Do not read lone 躒 as “outstanding”; that sense needs 卓躒.
