What 軵 means
It means pushing a cart, with several other old dictionary senses.
By 121 CE, the Shuowen Jiezi, an early Chinese character dictionary, already records 軵. It analyzes the character as 車 (“cart” or “vehicle”) plus 付, and gives it a forceful cart-handling sense. This shows 軵 existed by then, but not exactly when it originated.
Other dictionary entries and citations use it for pushing a loaded cart or pressing an elbow. They also list “light carriage,” the upright post beside a cart, assisting, and a dialect action of pulling back and then pushing.
Its recorded senses belong to dictionary, classical, and dialect contexts; alone in casual chat, it is hard to interpret.
If you mean “push,” add plain wording; 軵 alone gives too little context.

1Why does 軵 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
