What 鍂 means
It can name an instrument or stand for 鉛. One Chinese dictionary gives the Mandarin instrument reading as jīn (roughly “jeen”); another gives piān (“pyen”) for that same sense. These are pinyin spellings, and their marks show Mandarin’s high, level first tone. Pinyin writes Mandarin syllables with Latin letters. A separate entry lists 鍂 as equivalent to 鉛, read qiān (roughly “chyen”), the Chinese character for the metal lead.
