What 駷 means
It means shaking a horse’s bit to make it move.
The bit is a mouth bar guided by reins. A Western Han Mawangdui manuscript is the oldest cited example; later dictionaries retain the sense. Li Bai’s Tang poem uses 駷 for a springing horse, sharpening the image rather than changing the meaning.
Someone sent me 駷—what does it mean?
Treat a bare 駷 as a character question or classical reference.
Ask what sentence or source it came from before translating it as a command.
Classical; not conversational.
A lone 駷 will not reliably mean “hurry up.”
