What 骢 means
A blue-white horse. 骢 (cōng) names a horse with mixed blue-green and white hair.
The earliest named source here is the Han period Shuowen Jiezi. It records a practical coat-color term, not a one-off invention.
In Tang poetry, 青骢 could mean a prized, literary steed, with a broader horse use elsewhere. 驄 is the traditional form; 𩣭 is another recorded written form.
Literary and equestrian; it makes ordinary horse talk sound classical.
Add horse context when your reader may not know the classical term.

Questions people ask
1Why does 骢 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
