What 鬌 means
It names the part of a child's hair left untouched during a cut. The classical Chinese ritual text 《礼记·内则》 describes a child's third-month haircut and calls the portion left uncut 鬌; the early dictionary 《说文解字》 also glosses it as falling hair.
