What 龣 means
It names a traditional scale note and an old military instrument.
Mandarin records two readings: lù, roughly “loo” with a falling pitch, for an eastern note in the traditional five-note Chinese scale; and jué, roughly “jweh” with a rising pitch, for the military instrument.
The Taiwan Ministry of Education's character dictionary notes that 說文解字 does not record 龣, while 玉篇, 廣韻 and 集韻 do. These are older Chinese character dictionaries; later glosses say the form is now written 角.
Historical and lexicographic, not conversational.
A chat recipient may mistake its unfamiliar strokes for a font issue; its recorded meanings are a scale note and an old military instrument.
