What ᷹ means
It marks a double service with one shared Exapostilarion.
A Typicon is a book of service instructions. The wider system is attributed to Nicon of the Black Mountain in the 11th century; Syrnikov's version derives from marks attributed to St. Gennadius, active around 1500. His 1910 guide records this mark. Russian Yedinoverie parishes retained pre-reform Orthodox worship; Ukrainian Greek Catholic priest Isidore Dolnitsky's 1899 Typicon used another system.

1Why does ᷹ show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
