What 𒐺 means
It is a cuneiform numeral sign associated with three.
In Sumerian sign references, EŠ16 is treated as an alternative form of EŠ5; both are linked to eš, the Sumerian word for “three” (shown here in scholarly transliteration).
Cuneiform numerals appear in practical records such as accounts and measurements. Their notation can distinguish a count from a measured amount, and some numeral patterns depend on period and writing style. A modern 3 cannot preserve those choices.
Specialist and archival: the exact written sign matters when interpreting a cuneiform source.
Use 3 only when the source’s exact cuneiform sign does not matter.

1Why does 𒐺 look different in another font?
Fonts draw the wedges and spacing differently; one without cuneiform coverage may show a missing-glyph box. A different outline alone does not change the character.
