What ⚁ means
It marks two pips on one die face. This die symbol can record that face on a standard six-sided die (a d6); game context tells you what the roll does.
Cubic dice are documented in the Near East by the third millennium BCE. They served games and, by the Roman period, could also be used for divination. In Egypt, the board game Senet became associated with a journey to the afterlife during the New Kingdom.
Those are histories of physical dice and games, not meanings hidden inside ⚁. In plain text, it reads simply as “two on a die.”
What does ⚁ mean when someone sends it?
It usually records a game result or a playful roll.
By itself, ⚁ does not tell you whether a game is under way, and it does not establish a lucky or coded personal message. Beside rules, a score, or other die faces, it works as compact notation.
A run such as ⚃⚀ can show successive results: four, then one.
Why does ⚁ look different from 🎲?
⚁ is a font-drawn text symbol; 🎲 is an emoji. Fonts can change ⚁'s outline, spacing, or apparent size, and a font without its glyph may show an empty box. 🎲 depicts a whole die, while ⚁ marks one face.
