What 𐔉 means
To write an Albanian Gospel in a purpose-made alphabet. The Elbasan script was devised around 1750 for the Elbasan Gospel Manuscript, which translates the four Christian Gospels—the accounts of Jesus—into Albanian and is dated 1761. Most Elbasan letters seem newly designed, though some shapes may reflect Greek or Cyrillic. Albanian writing also used Latin, Greek, and Arabic scripts in different religious traditions; Elbasan was an original local alternative.
