What 𝈓 means
It marks a pitch in an ancient Greek score. “First sharp” means the first of two raised steps above a base pitch. In modern comparison tables, d and g are note labels for positions in that older system.
The vocal signs adapted Greek letterforms to mark pitches beside sung words. The earliest surviving written music dates to the mid-third century BCE, when the notation was already established. Modern editions use the system to present ancient scores.

1Questions people ask
1Why does 𝈓 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Ancient Greek Musical Notation block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
