What 쳹 means

“Cyelt” labels the structure, not a Korean word or reading.

How is 쳹 built?

쳹 joins an initial consonant, a vowel and a final consonant into one block.

Its components are ᄎ, ᅨ and ᆴ. Hangul was devised as an alphabet for Korean rather than adapted from Chinese characters. Before it, systems such as Idu and Gugyeol used Chinese characters for their sounds or meanings to write Korean. Hangul’s letters were created in 1443; a historical record notes that a book explaining them was completed in 1446. Idu remained in use into the 19th century.
