Hangul Syllable Ddwels

2785/11172

As of 2026, 뛠 has no established standalone message convention; it is a Hangul syllable whose reading comes from the Korean word around it. A Korean input method (IME) can compose it from jamo, the letters that join into syllable blocks, across five keystrokes.

What 뛠 means

뛠 is a Hangul syllable block assembled from jamo; its reading belongs to Korean spelling.

The first record of Hunminjeongeum, the new Korean writing system, appears in Sejong Sillok (the Annals of King Sejong) in 1443; its explanatory book followed in 1446. Its practical purpose was to make Korean speech easier for ordinary people to write and learn.

Idu, Hyangchal, and Gugyeol were earlier ways of using Chinese characters for Korean words and grammar, or to guide reading. Hangul later spread through religious, literary, practical, and official writing, including texts that mixed Hangeul with Hanja (Chinese characters). This block is part of Hangul's history, not a separately invented sign. Its components are initial ᄄ, medial ᅰ, and final ᆳ. “Ddwels” names that assembly in the Unicode syllable label; it is not a Korean dictionary translation.

How do I type 뛠?

Use the Korean two-set keyboard layout and enter its jamo in order.

On the Korean two-set (Dubeolsik) layout, press ShiftE, N, P, F, T: ㄸ, ㅜ, ㅔ, ㄹ, ㅅ. A Korean input method combines them into 뛠.

The ㅜㅔ pair makes the vowel ㅞ; ㄹㅅ makes final ㄽ. If the jamo stay separate, Korean input is off or the field lacks Hangul composition. The precomposed block and jamo sequence represent the same syllable, though fonts can vary in component shape and placement.

Neutral as text, but unusual alone; use it for Hangul or input discussion, not as a reaction.

A recipient may read a lone 뛠 as a typo or accidental paste.

Why is 뛠 a box on my screen?

fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
