Hangul syllable Ddwelt

2786/11172

To enter 뛡, switch to Korean input and type its letters in order; the input method assembles them into one block. By itself, it has no fixed translation: the surrounding Korean word gives it meaning. The same syllable can also be stored as separate Hangul letters, which some apps may display apart.

What 뛡 means

Use Korean input and enter the syllable's letters in order.

On the standard Korean 2-set QWERTY layout, press ShiftE, N, P, F, X. Korean input reads these as the Hangul component letters ㄸ, ㅜ, ㅔ, ㄹ, ㅌ, then assembles them as initial ㄸ vowel ㅞ final ㄾ. Other layouts use different keys; enter the same Hangul letters in that order.

If the device lacks Korean input, use its character picker. Typing ddwelt as Latin letters does not reliably create this exact syllable.

What does 뛡 mean?

Read it as one Korean syllable; the surrounding word gives its meaning.

Hangul is the alphabetic script used to write Korean. King Sejong completed it in 1443; the 1446 book Hunminjeongeum explained the script and its principles. Its syllable-block design groups letters into readable units, while Korean writing had also relied on Chinese characters. After 1446, Hangul appeared in translations, primers, practical books, religious works, and literature. 뛡 is one syllable made from Hangul letters; its place in a word, not the glyph alone, supplies meaning.

Why does 뛡 look different in my font?

Font design changes the drawing, not the encoded syllable.

Hangul fonts arrange an initial consonant, vowel, and final consonant inside each square syllable block, so spacing and balance vary. Unicode can store the same syllable as one block or as three joining Hangul letters (뛡). If an app does not shape those letters into a block, they may appear separately; that is a display difference, not a different syllable.

Language-specific and neutral: a Korean syllable whose meaning depends on its word.

A lone 뛡 does not reveal a mood; ask for the surrounding Korean word.

Questions people ask

1

Why did my keyboard produce separate jamo instead?

The text may contain separate Hangul letters, or the app may not be joining them into a block. Those letters can still represent the same syllable.

Why is 뛡 a box on my screen?

fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
