What 핤 means
핤 is a single Korean syllable block, not a full message.
Hangul arranges consonants and vowels into one compact block per syllable. Here ᄒ gives the opening h sound, as in “hat”; ᅡ is the vowel in “father”; and ᆳ is the final consonant cluster ㄹ ㅅ, called rieul-sios. The surrounding Korean word tells you how this syllable functions.
Hangul was devised under King Sejong to make Korean writing easier to learn. A royal chronicle mentions Hunminjeongeum in 1443; the explanatory book published in 1446 describes the script’s purpose and syllable-block design. The script also had the names Eonmun (“vernacular writing”) and Gukmun (“national writing”).
